Welcome to Maison de la Joie!

We’re Bryan and Dawn, and we are thrilled to host you in our little slice of the Big Easy!

Our connection to New Orleans began in the summer of 2017 when we first visited for Essence Festival. We instantly fell in love—the food, the music, the art, and the culture of the community brought us absolute joy. After celebrating Bryan's 30th birthday here, we knew we had to put down roots.

We initially fell for the location of this property (find more details on the Location page!), which led us to purchase the building sight unseen. We officially closed escrow and made our first visit in the spring of 2022. What followed was a long, painstaking three-year renovation of the entire 9,000-square-foot building. We were finally able to open the doors of our first unit in the summer of 2025!

Though our primary residence is still in California, New Orleans holds a very special piece of our hearts, and we are so glad to share it with you.
